The Bedrooms

content top

Each bedroom was designed with an adjoining dressing room where the gentleman’s clothes would be laid out on the bed every morning and evening.

Rode’s bedrooms retain all their elegant Regency furnishings which, from the bedside pot cupboards (complete with chamber pots) to the cheval mirrors and mahogany washstands, were supplied by Gillows

Each bedroom was designed with an adjoining dressing room where the gentleman’s clothes would be laid out on the bed every morning and evening. Ladies were expected to spend time in the bedrooms, reclining on the chaises longues, composing letters at the writing tables, or simply enjoying the fine views over the gardens and park.
